Guestbook

Lovely house in a great location. Short walk to the village that has places to eat/drink and a couple of local craft shops that contain some nice items. Lot of the area under National Trust ownership. Beautiful scenery surrounding the house and if you enjoy walking ideal. Steep walk down to the beach but worthwhile. Never previously visited the area but it is a stunning coastline and certainly plan a return. If you’re looking for a large house in a lovely location I’m sure this property will not disappoint you.

Mark McCombie,

10 of us, 7 adults and 3 children, spent 3 nights at this lovely house which had everything we needed. Wonderful position and spectacular views over the bay. Spacious, plenty of room for us all.

Mike Davis,

We were five adults and a dog and we had a gorgeous stay in Sunnyside. It's a great location to just watch and walk.
Beach, cliffs, fields, sea and Worm's Head - there is no shortage of spectacular views. You can walk to the pub and the cafes in 10 minutes or less. From the upstairs rooms the sea view is wonderful and the gardens of the house give you lots of space.
The house is very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Only downside is there are only two bathrooms but that is reflected in the price you pay. It was fine for us but may slow you down if you have a bigger group. It was so relaxing and enjoyable we are planning a return visit which we never usually do.

Judy Vertannes,

We stayed for just a few nights at Sunnyside, visiting with another family who were old friends, for which the property was ideal: plenty of space to spread out - perfect for quiet dinners or all-in card games, and whilst the location was beautiful, the accommodation was great for when the weather wasn’t! A superb holiday home!

Duncan Hall,

We had a lovely week at Sunnyside, ample space for us and the dog. All very well presented and comfortable. Would recommend slippers if staying in cooler temperatures as flooring downstairs is tiled, which was chilly on rainy days. 10 minute walk down to the beach at Rhossili Bay - we are all much fitter after the daily hill climb! Perfect location for lots of stunning walks. Would recommend Mewslade round to Worms Head, out to Burry Holms at low tide and along the coastal path up the hill behind the house. Such a beautiful location.

Anna,

A lovely warm house with plenty of room, well equipped, wonderful sea views and fantastic walks from the doorstep.

Val Holmes,

We had a wonderful week - thank you so much! The house was very clean and welcoming with lovely sea views. We are looking forward to returning next year.

Claire ,

We were an extended family of 9 and all thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at Sunnyside. The house was spacious and very comfortable and the location, within a 10 minute walk of Rhossili beach, was great. If you are looking to visit the Gower I would highly recommend this accommodation.

John Kear,

We had a wonderful week at Sunnyside. It's a lovely house with magnificent views. Thank you!

Jenny,

We had a lovely stay at Sunnyside from 18th July. The house was immaculate when we arrived: the photos don't do the house justice - it's a great place to stay. Down to the beach every day and then day trips to Oxwich and Three Cliffs Bay, finishing with a walk out to Worm's Head - magnificent. Thank you so much, Chloe.
David and Vanessa

David Kaplan,

We really enjoyed our week at the house, everything was clean and comfortable and well set up. The location is lovely and the views are spectacular. Lots of lovely walking all around and good food in the village. We hope to come again.

Julia,

We have just spent a wonderful week at Sunnyside. The house was beautifully presented, equipped and had plenty of room for our party of 6 adults and four children. The location was perfect for walking and exploring the beach without needing to drive anywhere. Also the sea views from the house were amazing. We have no hesitation in recommending Sunnyside and hope to return ourselves before too long!

Linden Hemsi,

We had a great week at the house. A perfect property for our family. The views were a joy to wake up to.

Susan Groves,

We had a wonderful new year at this property. Amazing sea views (even when the weather is awful!). The rooms are all light, very comfortable and well equipped. The whole house is cleaned to a very high standard meaning you can just unpack, relax and enjoy your stay! The beach, Worms Head, Bay Cafe and Worms Head Hotel are only a short walk away too, so location is ideal! Highly recommend to anyone and would love to go back soon.

Pugh family,

Bank Holiday weekend end of Aug 2017, retirement weekend celebration with a party of nine. The house and gardens accommodated us fine. Very close to village centre, everything you need for a weekend getaway, but make sure you bring your shopping with you if you have a lot to feed but there are some small stores nearby for any forgotten essentials or top up shops. We found the front garden more to our liking for relaxation in the sun as on the sunny side and still private. The welcome pack was well-received - thank you Chloe.
Would definitely go again and have no qualms recommending Sunnyside. (Afternote - it is a tad 'snug' getting into the drive to park particularly if you have a large car.)

Keith and Elly Blake,

Enjoyed our stay at Sunnyside. Good location, easy to find. Plenty of parking but needed to be careful driving out as blind corner.
Decided on beach depending on wind direction. Oxwich Bay was great for young children and had toilets and cafes on beach.
Facilities were excellent and plenty of room.

Lynda Seaton,

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Sunnyside last week which went too fast for our liking and found the house to be very well equipped and comfortable. The views were stunning with some lovely sunsets. Thanks also for the welcome pack and we have no hesitation in recommending Sunnyside as somewhere to stay for a holiday . It is ideally situated for both beach and walking holidays.

gwyndaf evans,

Stayed at Sunnyside the first week in August 2017.
Sunnyside is magnificent and is a five star holiday property . Five adults five children and Bob the dog had a fantastic holiday at Sunnyside.
We all enjoyed the views the walks and a magnificent beach which is the equal to any beach in the world
Chloe thank you very much for the wine and we certainly will try and get back to sunnyside and Rhosilli.
Jennifer and Tony Amos

Jen Amos Tony Amos,

We stayed in this lovely (very clean) house the last week in July, we all had a great time, there wasn't everything more we could have asked for in a holiday home, ...

The garden is big and fairly private, the views are amazing, beds very comfy , can not fault this accommodation in any way - 10/10 from us....
Thank you

Sam,

Thank you so much for another lovely stay at Sunnyside. It's such a lovely comfortable house and a great location for the beach, walking and other touristy things (we went to Perriswood for archery and birds). The kitchen is well equipped and the house is homely but also clean and tidy.

Becky Fletcher,

Thanks to Gail and Chloe for a great stay at Sunnyside. The property is absolutely perfect for a family break, we stayed in Rhossili from 6th April 2017 - 10th April 2017. Its location offers stunning views of the bay and many of the amenities e.g. beach, pub, shop are a few minutes walk away. The property iteslf was immaculate when we arrived and it was a very kind gesture to leave a bottle of wine in the fridge for us. My wife in particular, enjoyed that on her 30th birthday! The gardens provided ample room for the children to play and the patio door entrance to the excellent family room made life a lot easier for us.

Thanks again for a great stay!

Steffan

Steffan Biggs,

Another lovely stay at Sunnyside - The perfect base to relax in Rhossili.
Clean, spacious, homely, comfortable... great views in sunshine or rain, and a great place to come back to after exploring the area.

Adam,

A great week with my children and grandchildren. The house is ideal with a large ground floor family room and bathroom, astonishing sea views, Cosy and spacious enough for games inside when it's too cold outside. The bathrooms are ultra modern and the kitchen is well equipped but hS the feel of a house that has been a family home We enjoyed lovely walks on the beach and cliffs. No need to venture further but we would definitely recommend it and hope to come again

Viv Thom,

Stayed at Sunnyside Feb 2017 for my 30th birthday. My husband organised the break as a surprise with my family all being there to greet me. It was a truly brilliant weekend.
The house is spacious and clean. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a family meal in with ample storage. The views from the property were amazing and a short walk away from the beach and local pub.
The communication from the owner was brilliant and we were supplied with contact numbers should the need have arisen.
I would definitely recommend this house and hoping to return again later this year!

Mrs Davies,

We stayed here in May 2016 on a family holiday. There were 8 of us in total and we throughjly enjoyed our time here. It was amazing to wake up and see the sea just as it was watching the sunset over the Wormshead in the evenings.
Such a lovely house to spend time in and the beds were really comfortable and slept really well.
Very close to the local pub and beach walks.
Looking forward to coming back next year hopefully.
Thanks,
Simeon & Family
